John Larkings practises in commercial litigation and dispute resolution, primarily in the Supreme, Federal and appellate Courts. His work involves all forms of commercial dispute resolution and spans a broad range of commercial litigation matters including contractual disputes, trade practices, constitutional and administrative law, professional negligence and Corporations Act disputes.

He recognises that a commercial dispute and the decision to litigate needs to be approached as carefully as any other significant investment or strategic business decision and that a client’s best possible commercial solution may be to avoid the expense and uncertainty of litigation. Where litigation is unavoidable, John takes a forceful and direct approach in the conduct of civil proceedings.

John graduated from Macquarie University with combined degrees in arts and law, and was admitted to practice as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of NSW in 2003. He joined the firm as solicitor in 2006 and was appointed as Special Counsel in 2014. John is a New South Wales Law Society Accredited Specialist in Commercial Litigation Law.
